Position Description:
Performs chemical and physical tests on new and used lubricants and base oils in support of Xaerus customers. Analyze and record test results as well as assisting with a variety of specific and specialized laboratory projects. Flexible schedules are available. Looking for 20-25 hours per week.
Primary Duties:
- Perform testing on used fluid samples, incoming raw materials, packaged samples and finished blended products
- Perform new product qualification tests as required, using appropriate test equipment
- Fulfill miscellaneous lab duties as assigned by laboratory supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and good housekeeping practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-starter and detail oriented
- Ability to manage more than one task at a time
- Troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
No college degree required. College chemistry and biology laboratory experience preferred.
Preferred Past Experience:
College science student with past laboratory experience or current college laboratory experience.
