Packaging and Shipping Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, packaging, and manufacturing, along with mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and forklifts. Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP standards is highly desirable.

Duties

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
• Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse safely.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for inventory management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP practices in all shipping and receiving processes.
• Assist in inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to coordinate the timely assembly of products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging techniques and materials used in shipping.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP standards is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
• Proficient in using hand tools for assembly tasks.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
