Position Summary
Wycliffe Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced and service-driven Food & Beverage Supervisor to support daily front-of-house operations across our dining venues and member experiences. This hourly leadership role is responsible for assisting with the supervision, coordination, and execution of exceptional food and beverage service while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture rooted in hospitality excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced private club environment. Essential Responsibilities
- Lead by example through a visible, hands-on approach to service and leadership.
- Supervise daily front-of-house food and beverage operations within assigned outlets and events.
- Support the execution of exceptional member and guest experiences by ensuring service standards are consistently upheld.
- Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and mentoring front-of-house team members.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Conduct pre-shift lineups and communicate daily priorities, events, and service expectations.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and appearance standards are maintained throughout all dining and service areas.
- Address member concerns and service opportunities promptly and professionally.
- Support special events, banquets, club functions, and seasonal programming as needed.
- Assist in monitoring labor efficiencies, service flow, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner closely with Culinary, Club Operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless member experiences.
- Maintain strong floor presence during service by interacting with members, touching tables, and supporting staff throughout operations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in inventory management and maintenance of dining room supplies, equipment, and service items.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, alcohol service, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
- Support onboarding and development of new team members through coaching and mentorship.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in food & beverage, hospitality, restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club operations preferred.
- Private club or upscale hospitality experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated passion for hospitality and member service excellence.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support operational needs.
- Food safety and alcohol service certifications preferred or required upon hire.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds periodically.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal schedules based on business demands.
