Position: F&B Supervisor
Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the F&B Managers, the primary purpose of this position is to assist and coordinate the management of F&B service to ensure that our Members & Guest receive outstanding service at all times. In coordination with the F&B Managers, supervise and train dining room staff; manage within budgetary restraints; develop/implement programs to increase sales (repeat business and higher check averages).
Essential Functions
1. Schedules staff and plans room set-up based upon anticipated guest counts and needs.
2. Takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules.
3. serves as Hostess to greet Members by name and seats Members and Guests.
4. Carefully supervises to help assure proper service; pours coffee and takes orders when necessary.
5. Inspects dining room employees to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times.
6. Trains and supervises dining room staff.
7. Provides appropriate reports concerning employee hours.
8. Receives and handles complaints concerning food, beverages or service.
9. Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
10. Assures that all side work is accomplished and all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
Supervisory Responsibility
Coordinate with F&B Managers to supervise Servers, Food Expeditor, and Bartenders
Work Environment
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and dining room & kitchen environments as needed. This is regularly exposed to various temperatures, dust, kitchen odors and noise.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are as business needs dictate. The position requires the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.

Required Education and Experience
A minimum of 3 years related experience in an upscale environment. Private club, resort and/or hospitality experience required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to create and update Excel spreadsheets. Ability to make proper signage for events. Ability to speak effectively to vendors/suppliers, members, and other employees of the Club. Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Internet applications.
