Position: Spa Hair Stylist Independent Contractor
Reports to: Spa Director
Summary/Objective
Working to the core values and operational standards of the Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club, the role of Cosmetologist plays an important role in the success of the Spa at Frenchman’s Reserve. Our Cosmetologist greets all Members/Guests in a professional and courteous manner and provides accurate and timely information and therapies. Performs assigned cosmetology therapies on Members/Guests utilizing various modalities and assuring the enjoyment and satisfaction of spa Members/Guests. Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction, the achievement and maintenance of all the spa standards and profit maximization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs consultation, therapy analysis and verbal communication with every guest seeking cosmetology therapies. Solicits information regarding medical conditions that may be impacted by therapy.
- Performs all services for which training has been received in the allotted time period.
- Maintains treatment room in prescribed sanitary condition.
- Promotes and sells spa retail merchandise
- Maintains therapies within the state guidelines of Cosmetology license. Therapies include, hair, hair treatment and hair color, make up application, waxing and related enhancements. Perform therapy on all Members/Guests regardless of age, (4yrs and older), gender or ethnicity.
- Sanitizes all areas of treatment room to protocol including all instruments, tools, appliances used for therapies.
- Fresh linens are to be used for every guest.
- Maintains fully stocked salon.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
- Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house Members/Guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with Members/Guests, Supervisor and fellow associates.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED. Certification from college, technical school or accredited facility in Cosmetology required; and three years related experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
State of FL Cosmetology current license required.

Work Environment
Work is regularly performed in primarily in the Spa and may be occasionally exposed to product fumes, odors, and noise.
