About the Role
The Sales Analyst/Cost Accountant provides analytical and financial support to the Sales and Marketing teams. The goal is to improve yield margins, strengthen profitability, and drive cost efficiency through accurate analysis and disciplined accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical research to support sales, marketing, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement action plans tied to annual budgets, operating plans, and performance metrics.
- Support new product development from initial discussion through completion, including cost estimates, market data research, and P&L modeling.
- Deliver accurate, timely cost data for assigned products and processes.
- Collect and track performance data to identify trends in sales, processing yields, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Sales and Accounting to organize documentation for general and open deductions and monitor aging to reduce outstanding balances.
- Understand all major sales reporting systems and support audit requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales and IT on new reporting tools and user requests.
- Complete special projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Monitor the sales and production environment to identify cost control, yield improvement, and efficiency opportunities.
- Support organizational objectives, values, and performance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or five years of accounting experience (poultry or manufacturing industry preferred).
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong references required.

- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Pay: $49,393.77 - $59,484.97 per year
