We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operator and Order Picker to join our warehouse operations team. You are responsible for accurately picking customer orders, operating material-handling equipment, and ensuring products are efficiently moved, staged, and prepared for shipment. You are detail -oriented, productivity-driven, and committed to maintaining inventory accuracy while supporting daily warehouse operations.
This position combines forklift operation with order fulfillment responsibilities, making it critical to the overall success of warehouse and distribution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move products throughout the facility
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets, RF scanners, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Stage, organize, and prepare products for shipping and distribution
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining product integrity
- Verify product quantities, descriptions, lot numbers, and labels against order documentation
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and inventory audits
- Ensure products are stored in the correct warehouse locations
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support receiving, replenishment, and shipping operations as needed
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operating and order-picking experience preferred
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, or electric pallet jacks
- Experience using RF scanners, pick tickets, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
