Duties
- Safely operate forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Manage materials handling tasks such as order picking, stacking pallets, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate tracking of inventory movements and order processing.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by efficiently moving materials across different areas of the facility.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently while performing all tasks to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo lifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to equipment operation and materials handling.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and long periods of standing or walking.
