What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Brake Press Operator - Second Shift position at WSM Industries?
We are looking for a Second Shift Press Brake Operator responsible for Setup and Operation of Hydraulic Press Brake equipment. Sets up and operates machines to shape and alter metal according to specifications. Inspects work to ensure quality and conformity to drawings and engineering requirements.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Safely Setup and Operate Press Brake to fabricate parts in accordance with blueprint specifications.
- Inspect work using various tools such as Calipers, micrometer, Tape Measure, Protractor and Height Gauge.
- Select proper Brake tooling and load/unload from Machine.
- Sets up and operates other machines such as a drill press, shear, bending roll, Hand brake and Grinders, to shape and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Prioritize work as needed to meet production schedule deadlines.
- Deburrs customer parts as needed
- Maintains neat and orderly work area.
- Operate forklifts as needed to transport parts to and from work area.
- Performs Operator level maintenance on Press Brakes and related shop equipment.
- Ensures safety procedures are followed in shop area and during use of shop equipment; follows OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Accurately clock in and out of job operations using shop floor terminals.
Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years previous related experience with set-up and operating press brakes. Experience with Accurpress or Safar Darley machines is a plus.
- Experience reading and comprehending engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with the safe use of hand tools, including Sanders, Grinders, Drills and Dotco.
- Able to identify proper Raw materials including Steel, Aluminum, Stainless and Galvanized.
- Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Monday - Thursday
Second Shift - 3:00pm - 1:00am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
