Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew responsible for lawn care, landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, and groundskeeping activities.
- Coordinate daily work schedules for construction projects and outdoor landscaping jobs to maximize productivity.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and landscaping tools safely and efficiently.
- Oversee irrigation management and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality.
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and maintenance; perform pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control as needed.
- Manage crew safety by enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, equipment usage, and material inventories; communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Skills
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, or gardening with outdoor work expertise.
- Strong supervising experience with team management skills to motivate and guide crew members effectively.
- Knowledge of plant identification, tree care techniques, irrigation systems, hardscape features, and grounds maintenance equipment operation.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely for transportation to various job sites.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Familiarity with construction projects related to landscaping or outdoor improvements is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and vendors efficiently.
