Duties

• Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal using proper arborist rigging techniques and equipment such as chainsaws and bucket trucks
• Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work and support arborists in accessing hard-to-reach areas
• Support rigging operations for tree removal or branch management, ensuring proper technique and safety compliance
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, plant pruning, and general horticulture duties to enhance overall site appearance
• Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping or site planning as needed for project coordination
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery
• Assist with trimming and removing trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and a designates clearance from power lines

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or tree care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Familiarity with tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques is advantageous
• Experience operating equipment like chainsaws, bucket trucks, or other landscaping machinery is a plus
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques and safety procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role
• Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) will support your development in the field
• Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and work efficiently outdoors in varying weather conditions
