About the RoleWe are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for SMT and/or Assembly production lines. The ideal candidate will develop quality procedures, perform inspections, support new processes and products, and lead ongoing quality improvements to enhance product consistency, reliability, and cost efficiency.This position plays a key role in supplier quality management, employee training, quality systems maintenance, and corrective/preventive action initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain quality control of manufactured products and incoming supplied components/assembliesSupport the Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management SystemResponsible for Quality System MaintenanceCreate/update procedures, work instructions, and forms for ISO-9001, ISO-13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and 11, and manufacturing processesLead training for SPC, calibration, ISO auditing, and other quality topicsIdentify and execute improvement solutions to increase productivity, quality, and safetyTrain Quality Technicians and ensure proper use of inspection/testing equipmentParticipate in special projects as neededSupport Supplier Qualifications and ongoing supplier quality requirementsContinuously improve QA receiving inspection processesEnsure timely resolution of supplier issues with corrective and preventive actionsManage supplier performance and conduct auditsPrepare QA reports and metricsEnsure customer quality expectations are met; implement continuous improvement activitiesBridge the gap between Inspection, RMA, and Test with responsibilities such as:Training inspection personnel on quality requirementsEnsuring work instructions and inspection processes are followedGathering input on process and product qualityCommunicating inspection criteria to ProductionSupporting release of Control Plans/Process InstructionsInteract and communicate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departmentsWork EnvironmentProfessional office/production environmentAdequate lighting, moderate temperatures, and moderate noise levelStandard Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours) with occasional overtime as neededRequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience7–10 years of relevant on-the-job experience preferredStrong validation experience is a plusWorking knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 & 11Previous auditing experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail; quality-driven mindsetAbility to obtain IPC Certified Trainer (CIT) certificationAbility to lift up to 25 lbsWillingness to work overtime as requiredStrong communication skills and reliable transportationFamiliarity with IPC standards (IPC-600, IPC-610, 7711/21)Familiarity with major quality system standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485)Strong knowledge of solder standards (J-STD)Experience with quality inspection, auditing, and testingExperience implementing corrective action programsExperience with product- or industry-specific quality requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office and database systemsStrong understanding of quality tools, methodologies, and regulatory requirementsCompany DescriptionOur Professional Division works with clients as a stakeholder in their hiring strategy and process.
