Position: HR Support (Leave of Absence Coverage)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Onsite)
Duration: Approximately 6 weeks
Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00/hr. DOE
Position Overview
A well-established general contractor is seeking an organized and detail oriented HR Support professional to provide temporary coverage during a leave of absence. This role will support daily HR operations, onboarding processes, and administrative functions to
ensure continuity and efficiency within the department. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Support:
- Assist with copying and organizing new hire documentation, including I-9 forms,
- medical cards, and related paperwork.
- Communicate new hire information to supervisor via email in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth and compliant new hire experience.
Filing & Recordkeeping:
- Update and file employee emergency contact information in Spectrum.
- Audit employee files for completeness, ensuring all required forms and documentation are current and compliant.
- Scan, upload, and organize employee records within digital and physical filing systems.
Daily Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with processing HR paperwork including status changes, terminations, and pay adjustments.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, routing questions to appropriate HR team members.
- Maintain and update the Absence Resource spreadsheet and supporting documentation.
General Office Support:
- Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and various HR-related documents.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and snacks on a weekly basis.
- Provide general administrative support to HR staff and management as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years of administrative or HR support experience, preferably within construction, or a related industry.
- Working knowledge of onboarding processes and employee file compliance, I-9 documentation preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with HRIS systems (Spectrum or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $25 - $30
