The Job Overview
Our Client is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the operation of one of their manufacturing facilities. You mission will be to ensure that this facility is running properly, meeting production requirements, maintain overall safety, meeting quality standards and executing the company business plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Operational responsibility for all areas of the plant.
- Hands on participation in defining operational objectives.
- Working with company executives and key managers to establish budgets and strategic plans to accomplish corporate objectives for growth and profitability.
- Establish key metrics and hold teams accountable to achieving or exceeding these metrics.
- Establish and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
- Oversee quality initiatives and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee safety initiatives and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to and all employees are properly trained.
- Oversee capital improvements and plant expansions in accordance with corporate plans and objectives.
- Full P&L responsibility, driving all operations to meet or exceed budgets and strategic plans.
Job Requirements
- A BS degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or similar.
- 5 years of experience as a Production Manager or Plant Manager in a high-volume manufacturing operation.
- 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing with an understanding of color masterbatch, compounding or additives.
- Strong metric-driven personality and methodology, driving the business to continual improvement of key metrics.
- Strong proficiency in Lean manufacturing tools and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading LEAN initiatives such as LSW, SMED, Kaizen, Rapid PDCA, VSM, Continuous Improvement, required
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable operational strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, and knowledge in or ability to quickly learn other computer applications.
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, and productivity processes.
Salary : $130,000 - $165,000
