The Opportunity
We're looking for a Business Banker to join our team and take over an established loan and deposit portfolio from day one. This is a great chance to step into built-in relationships with local business owners while having the runway to grow the book further. This is an in-office role based in Dane County.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow an inherited portfolio of business banking relationships
- Structure and underwrite commercial loans, including lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, and commercial real estate
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to make sound credit decisions
- Build new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement in the Dane County market
- Partner with credit and support teams to ensure smooth loan processing and servicing
- Stay current on local market conditions and industry trends affecting small and mid-sized businesses
What You Bring
- Credit underwriting background — comfortable reading financials and structuring deals that make sense
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in office and engaged in the local business community
- Familiarity with the Dane County / Madison-area business market a plus
