Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for children in preschool, toddler care, and infant care settings
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in collaboration with specialists when needed
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns
- Organize classroom materials, toys, and educational resources to create an inviting learning environment
- Document developmental milestones and daily observations to track each child's growth and inform future planning
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Any additional certifications such as special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to support each child's unique needs
