Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher or Teacher’s Aid to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support a safe, loving, nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for children. This role focuses on providing attentive care, supervision, and assistance with daily classroom activities, while ensuring alignment with the center and church’s policies and procedures. They will possess a passion for early childhood education, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of principles of childhood development. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the children’s educational journey, promoting the social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development of each child.
Duties
- Provide daily classroom activities and lesson plans, learning centers, and materials appropriate to the children's development levels.
- Support a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support daily routines such as arrival, departure, meals/snacks, rest time, and transitions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom by picking up materials, wiping tables and toys, and assisting with general housekeeping.
- Encourage positive behavior, social development, and model respectful, age-appropriate interactions through guidance and encouragement.
- Observe children and report concerns to the director.
- Follow safety policies and procedures mandated by the church and center.
- Attend staff meetings, school programs, trainings, and in-service sessions as required.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
Qualifications
- Age - 21years or older.
- High school, or equivalent, required.
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, for example, daycare, preschool, or private school experience, preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with lesson planning and early childhood education standards is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.50 per hour
