Job Description:

We're seeking a motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our purchasing team. Focused primarily on direct resale purchasing, this role is pivotal in ensuring our stock levels meet the dynamic demands of our business. The Purchasing Assistant will be instrumental in monitoring inventory, creating purchase orders, and managing communications with vendors from order confirmation to the receipt of goods, including addressing any discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor stock levels of direct sale items and production components.
• Create and manage purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to confirm orders, correct invoices, and resolve issues with shipments.
• Engage in the improvement of purchasing processes using analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Work collaboratively with the purchasing team to support overall department goals.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a genuine and professional demeanor.
• Self-starter mindset, with the ability to independently manage tasks and improve processes.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel; familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables is highly desired.
• Experience with or ability to quickly learn tools such as SellerCloud, Shopify, Slack, and Gmail.
• Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, motivated, and organized.
• Previous experience in purchasing or a related field is not required, but relevant skills are a must.
