World Academy is seeking a dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking educator to join our school community as a K–8 Engineering, Robotics, and Computer Science Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic program builder who brings strong content knowledge, innovative pedagogy, and a passion for engaging students in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
This educator will play a vital role in helping students develop digital literacy, computational thinking, and engineering design skills that are essential for thoughtful participation in an increasingly technological world. Through project-based learning and real-world problem solving, the teacher will inspire students to see technology, engineering, and robotics as creative tools for innovation, collaboration, and positive impact.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or a related field
Teaching experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related disciplines (preferred)
Knowledge of computer science frameworks and engineering design practices, including:
Computing and Society
Digital Tools and Collaboration
Computing Systems
Computational Thinking and Problem Solving
Proficiency with relevant technologies, robotics platforms, and industry-standard hardware and software
Strong pedagogical skills in areas such as:
Introduction to Computer Science
Engineering Design and Robotics
Web and Game Design
Media and Video Production
Teaching Elementary and Middle Schoolers
Responsibilities:
Design and implement an engaging K-8 engineering, robotics, and computer science curriculum aligned with the school’s mission and values
Create a student-centered learning environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and risk-taking
Integrate interdisciplinary connections and real-world applications across grade levels
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
Contribute positively to the life of the school community and participate in ongoing professional growth
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
