The Litchfield School District is seeking applicants for a Science Teacher at Litchfield Middle School. Litchfield Middle School serves grades 5-8. A Middle School Computer Science Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction that introduces students to foundational concepts in computing, including programming, digital literacy, data analysis, and ethical technology use.
The teacher creates an inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration through hands-on projects, such as coding applications, robotics, and real-world simulations. They integrate emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity basics into the curriculum while emphasizing responsible digital citizenship. In addition to assessing student progress and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs, the teacher collaborates with colleagues, communicates with families, and participates in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving technology trends and educational best practices. Salary: Competitive salary based on education and experience.
