Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team in Doswell, VA. This is a short-term contract role with strong potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, analyzing production and supplier samples, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform random sampling and analysis of production and supplier materials
- Record, interpret, and communicate quality data to appropriate personnel
- Conduct inspections in accordance with Quality Procedures
- Complete and maintain inspection logs, checklists, and tracking forms
- Support and help improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Participate in daily and monthly safety audits
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and food safety standards
- Assist with internal audits and quality training efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all company policies and hold yourself and others accountable for safety
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of computers and lab/testing equipment
- Previous experience in manufacturing, quality control, or lab environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of quality systems and compliance standards is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may include exposure to:
- Loud noise levels and moving machinery
- Forklift traffic
- Dust, odors, and varying temperatures (hot/cold)
- Humid and industrial conditions
