A day in the role
At our Grand Haven, MI facility, you’ll be the steady hand guiding precision manufacturing from start to finish. You’ll arrive to a well-prepped work area, power up and verify production equipment, review the day’s run specs, and then keep the line humming—safely, efficiently, and to exacting quality standards. Throughout the shift, you’ll collaborate with teammates, document production data, and jump in on line changeovers to keep work flowing smoothly.
What you’ll do- Run and oversee production machinery to maintain safe, efficient throughput.
- Perform routine upkeep and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect parts and finished products to verify they meet required specifications.
- Support line setups and product changeovers for new or updated runs.
- Record production metrics and promptly escalate variances to your supervisor.
- Work closely with your team to achieve daily output targets and deadlines.
- Keep the workspace orderly and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Team-first mindset and clear communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality workmanship.
- Comfort with basic computer tasks for data entry and reporting.
- Flexibility to work extended or varied hours as needed, including overtime.
