Fanuc Lincoln Robotic Welding Cell Technician
Job Type: Full-time | Shifts: 1st and 2nd shifts
A day in this role
From the first tack weld to the final touch-up, you guide metal components through an automated welding journey. You’ll stage and tack parts, load them into a Fanuc Lincoln robotic cell, verify programs and parameters, and ensure each assembly meets blueprint specs. When the robot finishes its pass, you inspect, complete any required finishing welds, and document results before moving on to the next build.
What you'll handle
- Prepare and tack components prior to robotic welding to meet fixture and blueprint requirements.
- Operate and monitor a Fanuc Lincoln robotic welding cell, adjusting as needed for quality and throughput.
- Perform finish welding and post-weld touchups on parts as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to confirm weld size, location, and process requirements.
- Execute basic crane lifts safely to move materials and assemblies.
- Use common hand and air tools (die grinder, angle grinder, drill, etc.) for prep and finishing work.
- Meet standard work targets for all welded assemblies.
- Communicate and escalate potential quality or compliance issues (e.g., drawing revisions, weld symbol discrepancies).
- Complete all quality documentation per work instructions and record-keeping procedures.
