Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Employee Relations professional to join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a fair, compliant, and respectful workplace across North America. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters from end to end. You will play a critical part in shaping organizational culture by driving consistent, legally sound, and empathetic approaches to workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution — while partnering closely with HR, Legal, and business leadership to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, high-risk, and sensitive confidential investigations across North America related to allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other policy violations

  • Conduct end-to-end investigations, including intake, background research, objective interviews, and debrief meetings

  • Analyze and synthesize evidence to make factual findings, prepare detailed investigative summaries, and present verbal and written debriefs to relevant stakeholders

  • Support misconduct disciplinary processes across North America, ensuring robust practices and strict regional compliance

  • Lead conflict management support, including mediation between involved parties

  • Advise and influence business leaders and HR partners on appropriate actions and recommendations following investigations, balancing legal compliance with business needs

  • Leverage strong analytical skills to identify systemic issues and trends from ER data and metrics, partnering with stakeholders to develop proactive solutions and training programs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers, HR, and Legal to ensure seamless collaboration throughout ER processes

  • Anticipate the broader impact of investigative findings and recommendations, identify alternate courses of action, and facilitate alignment with key stakeholders

  • Partner with in-house Employment Counsel to navigate legal complexities across ER processes and mitigate organizational risk

  • Design proactive leadership modules on management practices and policy compliance based on emerging ER trends and themes

Skills

  • Deep expertise in workplace investigations, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation matters

  • Strong knowledge of North American employment law and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw sound conclusions

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly to senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, empathy, and impartiality

  • Strong mediation and conflict resolution capabilities

  • Ability to influence and advise senior leaders and cross-functional partners without direct authority

  • Proven ability to identify trends from data and translate insights into actionable programs and initiatives

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority investigations simultaneously

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization

Experience

  • Significant experience in an Employee Relations, HR, or Employment Law role with a focus on workplace investigations

  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex, multi-party investigations in a large, matrixed organization

  • Experience advising senior business leaders and HR partners on ER matters and disciplinary processes

  • Prior experience partnering with Employment Counsel on legally sensitive matters

  • Experience developing and delivering training or leadership development programs related to ER themes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred

  • Workplace investigation certification (e.g., AWI or equivalent) is a strong asset

This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact within a forward-thinking, globally recognized organization that places people at the heart of everything it does. You will be empowered to shape best-in-class employee relations practices, influence organizational culture at scale, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in HR and Employment Law — all while championing fairness, integrity, and respect across the workplace.
