The Opportunity

This is a growth leadership role, not a turnaround. You'll step into an established operation with strong fundamentals and a talented team already in place. Your focus will be on building upon that foundation by strengthening leadership, developing people, enhancing operational excellence, and driving sustainable growth across all service lines.

As General Manager, you'll have full ownership of business performance while creating an environment where employees thrive, customers become lifelong advocates, and operational systems support consistent excellence.

You'll work closely with leadership while maintaining meaningful autonomy to make decisions that drive results locally. From talent development and culture-building to customer experience and profitability, you'll have the authority and resources to make a lasting impact.


Business Leadership & Growth

  • Own the financial performance of the business, including revenue growth, profitability, labor efficiency, and overall operational health across HVAC, plumbing, and drain & sewer services.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth, market share expansion, and long-term enterprise value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, customer retention, and recurring revenue through memberships and service agreements.


Team Development & Culture

  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technicians, managers, and office staff.
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement where employees are empowered to grow and succeed.
  • Coach department leaders and develop future leaders within the organization to strengthen succession planning and organizational depth.
  • Foster an environment where safety, professionalism, and customer care are at the center of every decision.


Customer Experience & Operations

  • Champion a best-in-class customer experience that creates loyal customers and generates referrals throughout the community.
  • Ensure scheduling, dispatch, field operations, and customer communication processes are optimized for efficiency and service excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and operational execution across all service lines.


Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with leadership on business planning, performance reporting, and key growth initiatives.
  • Leverage best practices and resources from a broader network of operating companies while maintaining local market leadership.
  • Serve as the primary steward of the company's reputation, brand presence, and community engagement within the Kansas City market.

Desired Experience

  • 5 years of senior leadership experience within home services, skilled trades, field service, or a related operationally intensive industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing business performance, including P&L ownership and accountability for growth and profitability.
  • Experience leading multi-department or multi-location teams in a service-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent in competitive labor markets.
  • Experience scaling operations, improving processes, and driving organizational performance.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms is preferred.

Compensation will be tailored to the experience, capabilities, and track record of the selected candidate.


The compensation for this position is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.

Salary : $120,000 - $165,000
