WORK Inc., a nonprofit human service provider agency in Dorchester is seeking individual with a disability to perform general maintenance duties at the Barnes Building, 495 Summer St. in South Boston. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC is required. Duties include but are not limited to assisting in the performance of routine maintenance and repair tasks in the areas of plumbing, light electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and sheet rocking. Minimum qualifications: two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions: Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
The position currently pays $27.15 per hour and is a Monday through Friday full-time 40 hour per week schedule with the ability to work nights or weekends based on the needs of the building. Snow removal and other emergency work maybe required on weekends based on weather and building needs. The position also includes an individual plan of benefits including dental insurance, vision insurance and life insurance that are paid for in full by the employer. Other benefits include 11 paid Federal holidays, two weeks of paid vacation after one year of employment and 56 hours of sick time per year.
