Position Overview

WORK Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC Refrigerant Licensed Technician to provide hands-on expertise in building mechanical systems, including boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing. This role is based at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, a nationally recognized and highly visible public institution. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and customer service abilities to ensure the smooth operation of facility systems in a complex, public-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair building mechanical systems (HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing).
• Respond to emergency and contract-related situations while on call.
• Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of individuals, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly in both written and oral formats.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and federal security clearance requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• HVAC Refrigerant License (required).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HVAC licensed technician.
• At least 3 years of experience in facilities of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent written, oral, and computer literacy skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a strong safety record.
• Ability to pass a security clearance administered through the National Archives and Records Administration.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $45.00 per hour.
• Health & Welfare Benefit: Position includes benefits that are paid in full that include health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
