Summary of Responsibilities:
- Interact with construction staff, contractors and equipment vendors
- Assist in the oversight of multiple construction projects
- Assist in reporting and following deadlines, scope of work and budgets
- Source and coordinate materials and equipment according to project timeline
- Maintain daily logs of assigned job sites
- Ability to read blue prints and other plan documents
- Assist in the supervision construction staff such as carpenters, masons and pointers
- Assist in sourcing sub-contractors and assign sub work accordingly
- Prioritize operations and make changes in operations to meet deadlines
- At the direction of the Project Manager, create purchase orders consistent with the terms and conditions contained in the subcontractor bids, contract documents, according to Company policy
- Have the ability to make detailed list of the exact quantities of materials required for the project. Comfortable with takeoffs
- Experience with the change order process
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial construction
- Previous construction management experience
- Historic preservation knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel software
- Comfortable with heights
