Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front-Desk Operations
- Always maintain a professional personal appearance and demeanor
- Greet, welcome, and direct showroom visitors promptly and courteously
- Notify appropriate dealership personnel of visitor arrival
- Engage guests by answering general inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department
- Actively listen to customer needs and project a sincere, positive attitude
- Maintain the reception area and showroom in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Ensure refreshments and customer amenities are stocked and presentable
- Operate the dealership’s telecommunications system according to established guidelines
- Handle incoming calls using professional telephone etiquette
- Place callers on hold only when necessary, following established procedures and time frames
- Transfer calls accurately, ensuring proper introductions and minimizing customer frustration
- Provide clear, accurate information to callers with general inquiries
- Take complete, legible, and accurate messages using dealership message pads
- Relay urgent messages immediately and non-urgent messages within two (2) hours
- Maintain awareness of the showroom’s security and telecommunications systems
- Assist guests by referencing employee and department directories
- Perform administrative duties as assigned to support dealership operations
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment by assisting coworkers as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of receptionist or front-desk experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
- Strong verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, positive personality with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and courteous in high-volume or stressful situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to type and utilize computer systems and multi-line phone systems
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions accurately
