We are seeking a Full-Time Teacher Assistant to join our team for the school year. This position works Monday through Friday from 1:30–5:30 PM, following the school‑based calendar. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with children, values social‑emotional development, and wants to grow as an educator in a supportive, reflective environment.

Schedule & Program Details
- Hours: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Calendar: School‑year position following the MVSU school calendar
- Position Type: Part-time, school year

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting lead teachers during afternoon programming
- Engaging with children during indoor and outdoor play
- Building positive, respectful relationships with children and coworkers
- Guiding healthy social‑emotional development and peer interactions
- Helping maintain a safe, responsive, and engaging environment
- Modeling appropriate and respectful behavior
- Communicating with families as appropriate about children’s experiences
- Collaborating with team members to support routines and transitions
Requirements
- Experience working with children (formal or informal)
- Genuine enjoyment of and interest in working with preschool children
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to supervise children
- Energy, flexibility, and a positive mindset
- Willingness to learn and participate
- Early Education and Safety Training required
- Must be capable of lifting
- Comfortable with adverse weather. We spend as much time outside as possible during the school year.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
