POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Woodson YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, through hands-on and oversite of the maintenance and improvements of all branch facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provides coordination of facility, grounds and vehicle maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance in connection with Sr. Facilities Director.
• Ensures that assigned vehicles and other equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.
• Anticipates risk, implications, and possible outcomes before acting.
• Is hands-on with daily repairs and maintenance as a leader of the maintenance team.
• Completes repair work and projects in a timely manner.
• Serves as a specialist with regards to all facility and grounds.
• Maintains supply levels for all facility related supplies.
• Oversees all contractors that work in the facility and on the grounds. May request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.
• Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts., etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.
• Identifies and mitigates significant business, financial, and operating risks and advises management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.
• Ensures that safety and OSHA guidelines are being followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certifications in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three or more years of related experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 60 days of hire. (Company provided certification.)
• Working knowledge of facility maintenance systems.

• Skills in project management.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record approvable by our insurance company, and the ability to drive our vehicles and equipment.

Salary : $38,000 - $45,000
