Utah Valley University is seeking an event staff concessions employee!

Summary Of Responsibilities

Concessions Student Team Members must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley.

As a Student Concession Team Member of Utah County’s premier event center, you join us in:

• Ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.
• Contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring that quality, consistency, and safety of all food and beverage services are in compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols.
• Take orders.
• Run registers and payment systems
• Prepare and cook food and beverage items.
• Clean and sanitize ,and assist with inventory.
• Making lasting positive relationships, and other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities.
  
  

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU Student
• Graduation with a high school diploma or GED.
  
  

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of food service safety and procedures
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Knowledge of cash handling
• Problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal verbal communication and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to be attentive to, aware of, and available to assist patrons.
• Ability to lift heavy items such as: cases of water, soda, stanchions, etc
