Role Summary
Do you want to grow your HR career in Pittsburgh while making a real impact? We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our People Operations team. Whether you're launching your HR journey or building on prior experience, this is a unique opportunity to contribute across the full employee lifecycle: benefits administration, onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR records, and culture initiatives at one of Pittsburgh’s most dynamic, values-driven companies.
You’ll work closely with experienced HR leaders to help shape a mission-aligned workplace. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to grow in the HR field.
The title at hire may be HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or HR Assistant, depending on experience and alignment. This is a five-day onsite role based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
- Benefits Administration: Assist with enrollment, changes, and communications related to employee benefits. Help employees navigate benefit options and serve as a liaison with providers.
- HR Records and Processes: Accurately manage employee records, including I-9 verification and document tracking. Support time-off and leave tracking, and ensure processes remain compliant with Wolfe policies and relevant regulations.
- Culture and Engagement Initiatives: Support company-wide engagement programs including internal events, volunteer initiatives, and employee recognition efforts. Help foster an inclusive, values-driven workplace aligned with Wolfe’s mission.
- Recruiting Activities: Assist with job postings, screening coordination, interview scheduling, and communication with candidates and hiring teams.
- Employee Lifecycle Support: Coordinate onboarding logistics, new hire documentation, and orientation support. Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR processes and policies.
- Other People-Related Projects and Company Initiatives: Assist with broader People Operations or Company projects such as, but not limited to, process improvements, compliance reviews, and employee communications.
Qualifications
- Strong alignment with Wolfe’s mission and core values
- 1–2 years of experience in HR or a related fieldStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a reliable work ethic; consistently follows through on tasks and responsibilities
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR tools (HRIS, ATS) preferred, with openness to learning and leveraging AI-based tools
- Handles confidential employee information with care, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
