QUALIFICATIONS:
NYS Certification as School District Administrator (SDA) and/or School District Leader (SDL)
At least 3 years' experience in HR/Payroll management systems, benefits administration, recruitment, and compliance preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, directs, coordinates and participates in the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching personnel.
To plan, direct, and facilitate personnel resource activities and procedures for teaching and non-teaching personnel to ensure the most productive results for the district, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Reviews all staff evaluations and makes recommendations to the Superintendent as to continued employment status or termination of employees and arranges any necessary conferences and hearings.
Coordinates planning for collective negotiations.
Counsels' employees and works with principals/supervisors to resolve complaints, difficulties, and other matters related to personnel management.
Serves as the District Title IX and ADA Officer.
Supervises and evaluates Personnel Office staff and other staff members as the Superintendent may designate.
Supports building principals in the observation of probationary teachers, conducting observation of teachers as assigned.
Serves on or as the chairperson of district committees that are relevant to Labor Management.
keep informed on the latest research, trends and developments in staff personnel services and uses this information constructively for improvements in the staff personnel services.
Develops, reviews and directs human resource policies for the school district.
Assists administration in position classifications.
Supervises the administration of employee benefit programs, compensation, staffing, affirmative action, employee relations and training/development functions.
Oversees and coordinates the personnel recruitment, screening, interviewing, selection and placement process for the school district for civil service and professional level staff.
Develops and implements training programs for supervisory personnel to ensure compliance with proper employment policies and procedures including state mandated training.
Ensures that legal requirements for employment of personnel are met, including civil service, state teacher certifications and compliance reports to New York State.
Identifies and projects staffing needs through assessment of attrition statistics, such as retirements, resignations, transfers, etc.
Coordinates the Employees Assistance Program.
Other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
