Network Construction Manager
Contract: 1 year
Location: Irvine, CA to Los Angeles area. Fields are in the LA area.
Schedule/Hours: This will be a hybrid role. 30% will be WFH and 70% will be in field. Please confirm your candidate can work any combination of WFH days and field days (Monday - Friday). First shift hours, starting some days early to be on-site by 8 AM or 9 AM PST.
Skills: Familiar with OSP and fiber construction scopes, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM familiarity, and skilled in prioritization of task and flexibility in dynamic situations.
Expenses: Mileage will be reimbursed from home to the job site and back home. Cell phone, internet (standard charges).
Network Construction Manager - Fiber
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend Kick-Off meetings with Project Managers in all aspects of fiber construction work.
- Utilizes PowerBI and other business intelligence tools to analyze data summaries and predictive visualizations for OTP, CRM assignments, etc.
- Attend transportation and other customer meetings as subject matter experts for Crown.
- Develop customer relationships that may result in influencing customers to award service work to Crown.
- Make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walk, pre-construction walk, in progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout.
- Submitting the Change Management tickets
- Managing vendors and interfacing with developers and municipalities.
- Provide directions to general contractors aligned to job specifications.
- Working knowledge of permitting and licensing process in Public and Private right of way and how they vary by municipality and pole owners.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Crown Castle construction standards, processes, and procedures
- Promote company-wide safety awareness
- Ensure Team Management, Project Managers, and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost.
- Proficiency in reviewing As Built drawings to validate quantities.
- Ensure that all jobs are maintained in our project tracking system with complete accuracy.
- Be available as an escalation point to engage General Contractors on corrective actions post internal closeout review.
Education:
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
- Knowledge of construction management process
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to manage, organize and process multiple overlying project activities.
- Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach - strong interpersonal skills
