The Lead FOIA Analyst is responsible for overseeing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Key responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and processing FOIA requests, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate responses. The role requires preparing detailed reports, maintaining documentation, and providing guidance to team members on FOIA procedures. This is a contract position based on-site in Arlington, VA.
- Experience and knowledge in reviewing, analyzing, and processing FOIA requests with a strong understanding of FOIA regulations and associated policies
- Proficiency in documentation, report preparation, and maintaining accurate records
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
- Proficiency in using office software applications and relevant FOIA-processing tools
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results under time-sensitive conditions
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field
- Prior experience in government or legal settings is a plus
