Withlacoochee Technical College, a Citrus County Florida District post-secondary technical college, is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Specialist to administer federal and state financial aid programs such as Federal Pell Grant, Veteran’s Benefits, Workforce Development, Vocational Rehabilitation, Florida Bright Futures, State Vocational Grants, as well as other Florida State Scholarship programs.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing policies and procedures for Pell Grant administration, assure implementation and coordination of Title IV funds are in compliance with federal regulations, interact with scholarship donors, calculate cost of attendance, determine student eligibility for scholarships and grants, calculate student monetary award, authorize and balance disbursements of funds. Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma. Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
- Experience in financial aid procedures, grant writing, and scholarships
- Minimum of five years successful experience at a postsecondary school or college
- Knowledge and experience with federal register for compliance of federal and state guidelines
- Skills in finance
- Skills in communication, both oral and written
- Ability to coordinate financial resources
- Excellent people skills
