Position Summary: The Litigation Paralegal at Witherite Law Group will manage a caseload of 50-75 cases, assisting attorneys with drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. This position requires detailed auditing of cases, including medical bills, case expenses, and subrogation liens, and ensuring accurate case data management in Filevine. The paralegal will also assist in trial preparation, communicate with clients and external parties, and maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct. Experience with trucking litigation is a plus.

- Effectively manage a case load of 50-75 cases.
- Accurately draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery and various motions.
- Continually communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and courts.
- Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens).
- Accurately maintain case management data in Filevine (case management database).
- Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation.
- Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions.
- Proficient in preparing discovery responses.
- Detail oriented with a focus on grammar and language arts.
- Professional appearance and behavior.
- Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation.
- Trucking experience preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
- College degree or comparable paralegal certification and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience required in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, 5 years' experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (Filevine preferred)
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
