We are seeking an experienced Field Project Manager to lead construction focused projects from kickoff through closeout. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage schedules and budgets, reduce risk, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to expectations.
Schedule and Location
- On site field based role supporting projects in the Charlotte, NC region
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Primary work area: 28602 and surrounding locations
- Lead multiple construction related projects simultaneously, from early planning through final completion.
- Run project kickoff meetings and working sessions to define scope, priorities, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Build and maintain project plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, and field execution steps.
- Track progress against timelines and performance goals, and proactively adjust plans to keep work moving.
- Identify risks early, document them clearly, and drive mitigation plans with internal teams and field partners.
- Own issue tracking and resolution, ensuring problems are escalated appropriately and closed quickly.
- Provide clear, consistent project updates to stakeholders, including field teams, leadership, and project sponsors.
- Monitor project budgets, validate cost impacts, and maintain accurate financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track invoices and coordinate approvals, ensuring documentation is complete and timelines are met.
- Maintain project documentation, notes, records, and reporting dashboards for visibility and accountability.
- Coordinate and assign resources needed for project tasks, balancing priorities across active workstreams.
- Lead meetings with individuals from varied roles and backgrounds, keeping discussions productive and action oriented.
- Capture lessons learned and share practical improvements that strengthen future project delivery.
- Projects are delivered with strong field execution, minimal rework, and clear communication throughout.
- Stakeholders stay aligned because schedules, risks, and next steps are visible and actively managed.
- Budgets and invoice tracking are accurate, organized, and kept current without last minute surprises.
- Issues are addressed early, and the team has confidence that the project is under control.
- 5 years of construction project management experience, ideally in a field based environment.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects at once while staying organized and detail focused.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and coordinate across teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment where priorities can shift.
- Experience building project timelines, tracking milestones, and managing dependencies.
- Comfortable managing budgets, tracking invoices, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Proficiency with Excel and project tracking tools such as Smartsheet (or similar platforms).
- Strong problem solving skills, with a practical approach to risk mitigation and issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Equivalent construction project management experience will be considered in place of a degree.
