What You’ll Do
- Lead the dining room service flow and assist servers throughout service
- Greet tables, guide guests through the menu, and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Oversee table touches, pacing, quality standards, and guest satisfaction
- Support the training, coaching, and onboarding of new serving staff
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, hosts, management, and fellow servers
- Handle VIP tables, special requests, and service recovery with confidence
- Maintain service stations, cleanliness, and organizational standards
- Help ensure smooth transitions between brunch, dinner, and late service periods
- 2 years serving experience in a high-volume NYC restaurant required
- Prior leadership, server captain, or trainer experience strongly preferred
- Confident, personable, and able to read the room
- Strong communication and pacing awareness
- A team leader who leads by example, not by ego
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments
- Able to work nights, weekends, and peak service shifts
