Technician I

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Technician I to join our client's team! This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in laboratory procedures, scientific research, and quality control within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will support ongoing projects by performing essential laboratory tasks, adhering to safety and compliance standards, and contributing to the advancement of innovative solutions. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of laboratory accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced research setting.

Duties

- Verify parts and assemblies meet drawing, specification, and work instruction requirements
- Assist with functional testing of elevator components and subassemblies
- Identify, document and process nonconforming materials (Scrap, Rework, RTV)
- Accurately complete inspection checklists, test records, and quality documentation
- Support corrective action activities by gathering data and observations

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Inspect mechanical and electrical elevator components using standard measuring tools (calipers, gauges, tape measures, etc.)
- Analyzes warranty claims and quality concerns to address trends
- Perform process and product audits
- Performs and documents timely and accurate containment activities including sorting of non-conforming parts if required.

- High School Diploma and/or Technical School Diploma required.
- Associate’s degree in engineering or quality Control preferred.
