JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Landscaper
FLSA: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager, Landscaping
SUMMARY: Wintergreen Resort is seeking motivated individuals to join the team as General Landscapers. In this role, you will help maintain and enhance the beauty of the resort grounds by caring for plants, gardens, and landscaped areas while performing various outdoor maintenance tasks. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and removing weeds.
- Keep resort grounds, walkways, and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Perform seasonal tasks including mulching, leaf removal, and garden bed preparation.
- Work with team members to ensure outdoor areas are well maintained for guests and staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays if needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, or equipment up to 25–50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions including heat, cold, sun, rain, and humidity.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain such as slopes, grass, gravel, and natural trails.
- Tolerance for exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, insects, and plants.
