JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Discovery Ridge Adventure Center, Attendant
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Adventure Center Manager
SUMMARY: Discover Ridge Adventure Center (DRAC) at Wintergreen Resort is where family vacations begin. With indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family, including tubing, indoor Ninja Warrior Course, outdoor rock climbing wall, and trampoline bungee jumping, you will be part of an adventurous setting. Reporting directly to DRAC Manager or supervisor, you will provide access to the climbing wall, operate the bungee trampoline, summer tubing, and all amusement devices. You may be operating point of sales, answering phones, taking and payments for the activities all while offering excellent customer service as well as ensuring safety of all guests while participating in activities at the Adventure Center.
Position will start mid-May with Saturdays only. Mid-June available hours will increase to 2-3 days per week.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completion of safety inspection logs
- Notify managers of any safety concerns in the work place
- Communicating any needs to the managers
- Cleaning or maintenance of the facility and point of sale area throughout work shift
- Basic maintenance and operation of all features and amusement devices
- Excellent customer service
- Returning all calls promptly
- Reporting any accidents immediately to the manager
- Participate in weekly safety meetings
- Completion of incident reports as needed for guests and associates
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Team-oriented, responsible, motivated and comfortable dealing with public and offering premium guest services
- Effectively communicate with directors, managers, associates and guests
- Manage the operational needs of a variety of recreational programs
- Support, encourage and help other staff members as needed
- Proficiency in programs such as Word, Excel, Sirius, and MS Outlook
- Work irregular hours including holidays, weekends and nights
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- May require lifting up to 50lbs
- Must be able to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Required to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, kneel, stretch, reach, lift, climb and walk.
- Must be able to work as a high intensity for an extended period of time in a variety of weather conditions.
