Winston-Salem Christian School seeks an outstanding Lower School Teacher to join a talented team of educators. Above all, the school seeks an educator who loves working with lower school students and supporting their efforts to develop their God-given creativity. A college degree is required, and three to five years of experience.
Successful candidates will be excited to work in an energetic environment and will be eager to immerse themselves in the school community. Our school community growth requires us to pursue an additional lower school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. A teacher should have the ability to maintain a classroom and lead an engaging classroom experience across all curriculum areas.
Teachers must have a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and be active in a gospel-centered church.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: · Teach an enclosed classroom of approximately 20 students. Leading the classroom in Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, History, and Bible. · Participate in the life of the school by attending athletic, arts, fundraising, and other school events · Participate on committees and task forces as needed (Very Limited) · Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues Skills and Competencies: · Sense of humor and demonstrated success working with children · Ability to differentiate instruction · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Ability to develop an arts program for lower school · Capacity to maximize advantages of educational technology · Experience using G-Suite and Google Classroom a plus but not required. Also, any training in FACTS management software is beneficial
