What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Parts Administrator position at Winnebago Industries Inc?
Primary Objective of Position:
Ensure the correct parts are here when needed for all customer service appointments. This requires good communication skills with the service advisors, technicians and both internal and external suppliers. Knowledge of online parts catalog, bill of materials and the ability to read blueprints are all necessary skills to achieve our goal of ultimate customer satisfaction. Familiarity with the Winnebago mainframe, Salesforce and D365 area a plus.
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Maintain a good working relationship with all RV technicians, and both internal and external suppliers
- Assist technicians with all parts needed to complete their repairs on our customer coaches
- Use our online parts resources to find the correct parts needed for all repairs
- Supply technicians with requested blueprints and diagrams
- Determine how to source requested parts and get them to the RV technicians in a timely fashion
- Begin researching and ordering parts six weeks in advance of the appointment date to ensure all parts are here for customer appointments. This will minimize the time their coaches are down for repairs and maximize shop revenue by enabling more coaches to flow through the shop
- Order all NPN parts for their assigned work orders and follow up and maintain these orders to ensure they are delivered when promised
- Coordinate with the Factory Service buyer to make sure part numbered parts are ordered, and keep technicians and Service Advisors aware of the progress of these orders
- Obtain parts price and availability for estimates, both insurance and retail
- Order shop tools and supplies as needed
- Keep factory service parts room inventory stocked with fast moving merchandise to maximize profits and save valuable shop repair time
- Maintain accurate records for all customer repair work orders, making sure all parts are issued correctly
- Maintain accurate records for all inventory transactions
- Perform periodic cycle counts of inventory to ensure a minimum of 98% accuracy
