Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and surrounding workspaces
- Support food service operations such as bussing tables and assisting kitchen staff as needed
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed according to health regulations
- Manage basic math calculations for sales, retail math, and grocery store transactions
- Follow sanitation guidelines to uphold hygiene standards in all aspects of the role
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail transactions
