Cashier for Wingstop

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will handle transactions accurately, assist customers with their orders, and maintain a clean and welcoming workspace. Experience in food preparation, POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, and food industry knowledge are preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food handling within a dynamic restaurant or retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
• Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer experience
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and surrounding workspaces
• Support food service operations such as bussing tables and assisting kitchen staff as needed
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed according to health regulations
• Manage basic math calculations for sales, retail math, and grocery store transactions
• Follow sanitation guidelines to uphold hygiene standards in all aspects of the role

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail transactions
• Familiarity with food preparation, food safety, and sanitation standards in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
• Experience with upselling and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if required

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
