Duties

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures for chemical agents and cleaning supplies
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently to maintain pristine floor care standards
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety guidelines
• Ensure all sanitation protocols are followed to uphold hygiene standards across the hotel environment
• Respond promptly to guest requests related to housekeeping needs with excellent customer service skills
• Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, maintaining safety for guests and staff at all times

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong background in industrial or hotel cleaning environments
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and floor care maintenance
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and chemical handling safety procedures
• Experience in hotel housekeeping management or hospitality industry preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving manual handling and heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) and adherence to sanitation standards required by health regulations
• Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures is advantageous

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
