SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Equipment Operator performs work involving the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks, and other maintenance equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Maintain a prestigious 18-hole golf course, practice facilities, polo fields and croquet courts.
• Perform turf maintenance practices, raking bunkers and/or native areas, cleaning, weeding, edging cart paths, spot spraying herbicides (under licensed supervision), morning setup for golf play, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Mow fairways and roughs with gang units.
• Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working; refills fuel and oil daily, cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
• Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or Assistant Superintendent and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
• May require adjusted work schedules to meet deadlines.
• Regular attendance and timeliness are required.

• Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. This position is regularly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
