Qualifications & Requirements
- 1-3 years purchasing experience or related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree or Bachelor degree or equivalent encouraged, not required
- Ability to efficiently and creatively collect, research and analyze data to make decisions and solve problems
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Responds well to questions, with clear precise answers. Participates regularly in meetings; communicating in a positive manner with all levels of personnel (written and oral)
- Ability to work and communicate with remote locations and personnel

- Operational Excellence:
- Supplier on time
- Supplier quality
- Communication of supply issues to planning/production
- Maintain purchase order dates, quantities, etc.
- Place spot buys
- Maintain leadtime in system
- Make versus Buy decisions
- MRB activity: rejections, RTV’s, reworks, Supplier notification
- Invoice issues related to spot buys and contract pricing
- Quoting
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management

- Have customer centric focus
- Suppliers- communicate clear expectations for product, delivery and quality requirements
- Planning/ operations - maintain accurate delivery dates to communicate schedules, respond quickly to expedite or information requests
- Suggest change in sources to support on-time, quality, cost reduction, customer on-time or other company objectives
- Build relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate various supply chain attributes
- Make open suggestions for improvements in company practices, across all departments
