Process Engineer Essential Job Functions:
- Provide Product/Process Engineering support for Centerfire and Rimfire small caliber ammunition manufacturing.
- Primary lead for investigations and resolutions of customer complaints.
- Develop, define, and document manufacturing processes, tooling and gaging following DMAIC methodology.
- Work with cross-functional groups to define and complete testing to support process changes.
- Actively participate in and lead group activities to support continuous improvements including, but not limited to, design, test, and evaluation of alternative materials, components, and methods to improve efficiency, performance, and reduce costs.
- Work directly with production and quality department personnel to troubleshoot, find the root cause, and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor's Degree* in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of one year of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, recent co-op/intern experience is applicable.
- Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (documentation required). Candidates with 2 years of recent, full-time engineering work experience do not require GPA documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, shift demands, work independently, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
- Ability and willingness to provide engineering support for manufacturing processes for 24/5 operations, including weekends.
- Small arms ammunition or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
